>> 2009 Season
The 2009 season concluded on a fine night ( a fine night being no rain !) In Division 1, Jetz had already clinched the title but stood in the way of Tibberton who could still claim runners-up. A high speed match resulted with Jetz winning 29-16 and going undefeated in 2009. This result allowed Recycles to pip Tibberton to second place. The Division 1 team of the year were Molineux 1, well done girls.
Division 2 was decided on the final night with Thomas Telford and Wanderers separated only by a goal on goal difference before play. A full strength Thomas Telford team beat Whispers 60-8 and left Wanderers a tall order to beat third placed Dynamos by 54 goals to clinch the Division. A closely fought game between Wanderers and Dynamos ended in a 31-31 tie and leaving Thomas Telford Division 2 . Congratulations to Jammy Doodgers who were voted Team of the Division.
Division 3 started the final night with Stingers top of the table having played all their matches. Diamond Allstars eased passed them by beating Twisters in the early game ot take the Division 3 title. This left Panthers a chance also to take runners-up from Stingers by beating Quantum Leapers. Panthers pulled through to win 31-18. Well done to Chasers who were voted as Team of Division 3
Strollers had already claimed the Division 4 title and beat Whispers B on the night 26-18 to win the title undefeated. The runners-up spot was a tight battle between Shifnal Seven and LEA Auto`s where Shifnal Seven pipped LEA by a greater goal difference of 9 goals. New team to the league Thunderbolts picked up the wooden spoon and vowed to be back in 2010. Shifnal Seven were voted team of Divison 4.
The presentations were made in Idsall Sports Centre after the last games where Karyn Shimmons introduced June Byrne to present the trophies.
